A few honest notes
Everything on Korea Knack is shared in good faith, from personal experience, for general guidance. Please read it with a few things in mind.
Taste and spice are personal
Spice ratings and taste notes reflect how a dish lands for a general visitor — but heat tolerance and preference vary widely. What I mark as “mild” may still feel hot to you, and the other way around. Treat the ratings as a friendly guide, not a guarantee.
Allergies
If you have a food allergy, always confirm ingredients directly with the restaurant. Korean dishes often contain soy, sesame, shellfish, egg, or fish-based seasonings that may not be obvious. The notes here cannot replace asking in person.
Prices and places
Prices are approximate and change over time; currency conversions are rough. Restaurants and stalls open, close, and change. Use the information as a starting point, not a promise.
